Gold Nugget vs H20 Pearl
« on: August 01, 2005, 07:07:03 AM »
Ok, here's the deal.  I almost never can use my H20 on the local house shot.  It has WAY too much backend on the squeeky strip we see.  I got a used GN and redrilled it.  I'm hoping, based on the little I've thrown it lately, that it will fit under the H20 and control the backends a lot.  It seems that way based on the 4 or 5 games that I've thrown it.  Yet I read about what a huge backend this ball has.  Am I nuts? Or is it that the H20 has an even larger backend?  'Splain, Lucy.

Rags,

I do not believe that the GN will fit below the H2O, unless you have my ball speed, and even then it probably will not.  I guess if you drilled it pin axis maybe, but then again if you drilled the H2O ball for more length or fine sanded it and then polish, it should work.   I am only speaking for me, in that my GN would handle what you are talking about, but I throw 17 mph, and had mine polished.  I am no expert, and I hope Doug Sterner will chime in, or another L1 expert, but IMHO it should neot go below you H2O.
