XXL vs. Bullet
« on: March 26, 2008, 02:53:08 PM »
I've never thrown a Lane 1 ball but I just oredred a Starburst XXXL and am very excited to throw it.  After spending some time on the website I noticed both the XXL and the Bullet.  I know one is reactive and the other is urethane but really can't imagine what kind of reaction to expect, especially in comparison to each other.  I've never thrown anything in between pancake plastic/urethanes and weak reactives.  Can anyone give me some idea what to expect from these two?

Never threw the XXL, but the Bullet is the closest thing to urethane that I have thrown in a long time. I'm talking (relative) early on dry-ish oil pattern and smooth. I suspect the XXL hooks more, becaus eit has a "full diamond core; the Bullet only has part of one.

charlest, you are correct. The XXL has a little more pop on the backend (which caught me by surprise the first time I tossed it). Through the front part of the lane, they are nearly identical.
