PAP, Speed, Axis tilt, and revs would help me determine what pin in ring cg kicked would mean to you

Hammer, that's a fairly strong layout for most bowlers. I'm assuming the pin would be drilled out in the ring finger. Kicking out the CG is the most popular layout for high average bowlers as well as the pro's. =:^D

T-God, I think kicking the CG out works well for others also, as I'm not a high average bowler, but kicking the CG out works best for me with my style on all Lane 1 balls that have performed well for me. On Lane 1 balls where the CG wasn't kicked out, they didn't fare as well for me. Especially if the CG was to the left any at all.

Mine is drilled this way.  5x3 with the PIN in RING CG out.  For me it's smooth and strong.  Good length but not to much and strong movement but not radical..

Here's how mine is drilled BUT it all depends on lane condition and your technique/stats.  What you intend the ball to fill in your equipment and what you want it to do.

I found one of the best balls I ever used was an original Purple (reactive) Buzzsaw 1:30 label drilled.  Great on a THS wet/dry.  For me and many others label 105* layouts work great on wet/dry THS as they don't over react to the friction and carry well. Beware of the driller that wants to layout everything label as that says they don't like or can weigh balls.

There is NO one case/drill/layout that fits ALL.  This is where your driller comes in lays out your equipment to your stats/lane condition and PAP.

My Blue Death is drilled almost identically to scott33's....5=1/4 x 4 or a 35 x 5-1/4 x 75 .....great house shot ball. It lets me play up the lane with a nice tight swing to the pocket.

A pin in ring with cg out is usually close to a 5x4 for most bowlers. The ball should get good length, strong move at the breakpoint and a very continuos backend.

Same driller does my equipment that does Scotts33's. Got mine punched up and ready to go for tomorrow night. Looking forward to trying it out....

Scotts, that is my favorite drilling except with the Pin about 1/4" to the right of where your's is. Especially on Lane 1 balls.
