Title: XXXL Drilling
Post by: Moe on October 31, 2005, 05:27:10 PM
How would you punch up a XXXL for use on drier patterns?

Specs are in my profile.

One thing you have to remember is that the ball "IS" Plastic. So even on the absolute driest patterns you need to keep this ball strong. Label drillings work best for me. Try putting the pin 3 3/8 to 4" from your PAP on a 45 degree angle with the CG in the center of your grip. This will cover most patterns and also work for a spare ball when needed.  Beans

Thats what i was thinking, something like a leverage drilling.

Beans i understand its just a plastic ball, but using it in my current house plastic is giving me the best most direct look to the pocket. Standing 20-25 sending the ball up 10, with just my white dot. *i have a post in MISC somewhere*

Im thinking that a plastic ball with a core would carry better at the pocket for me, a little flareing from the core wouldnt hurt either, i have been tapped a few times with like 7 pin's and such. Other than that im happy throwing my WD currently, and if i can find an xxxl in 15lbs for cheap i would jump on it.

Mine is "label" and I rolled a 245 with it last night with plenty of oil rings on the ball.  Stood on the 20 sent it across the 2nd arrow.  Bounced off if it went to the 5 board, hung on the oil line about 13 board.  Wasn't sure about it because plastic is hard to dry off between strikes but since the strikes kept coming...

Worked well for the one ten it did leave.

The Silver/C is still the most amazing ball!
