LaneMaster was kind enough to send me one of the Absolute Powers to write a review on.

I drilled this ball up with the pin above my ring finger and the cg 3/4" off my grip line.

I threw this ball on the house shot and a couple different sport shots. This ball is great on medium to medium-light oil. On the house shot, I was able to swing the ball and make a move at 40 feet and rip the rack. If I pull the shot in the oil, the ball would hold the line, and still blow the rack. When I sent the ball a little wide the ball would recover, and still have enough power to get the corners out.

On the variety of sport shots, I would either go more direct or move deeper inside. I couldn't use it on the heavier oil sport shots, because the ball isn't designed for that.

This is one of my favorite Azo/Lanemaster ball, just behind my Red Fire. I haven't like many Pearl Reactive balls in the past, but this ball is awesome.

Any questions, please email me at Bill@BuddiesProShop.com

Thanks,
Bill

My first attempt so bear with me.
My Specs.
Average speed about 16mph Quibica.
Average Revs 300 (C.A.T.S)
Axis Tilt 60 degrees (C.A.T.S)

Ball Specs.
15.1 pounds net.
Top 3 1/8 ounces
pin 3 1/8 inches.
Pin to PAP 5 1/2
MB to pap 4 inches
MB centre of grip but kicked out about 1/2 an inch. Pin above fingers. 3/4 roll length drilling off sheet.
Weight hole on Pap 1 inch diam. and 1 inch deep.

I find this possibly the most consistant ball Ive ever used. I have used it on both wood and synthetics(AMF) I find in box that it is best used on medium to medium light. Good length with a strong controllable arc as I have a weight hole on my pap to give more control.
Conditions that Ive played on range from house style but mostly sport patterns. The sport patterns are basic but tight with fairly flat med oil.
I have used it on shots with out of bounds but had to play inside as the ball wont recover on the deeper oil outside.
Mostly play around 2nd to 3rd arrow with a swing to about board 7 (45 feet). Seems to be the right breakpoint for my game and ball match up.
Can play deeper depending on oil pattern and also wider on sports pattern with change in wrist position.
On a house shot it gives you a large area as its very good at recovering off the dry and holds well in the middle on the wet in that area. Thats why I like it for its control on that pattern.
Doesnt seem to like heavier patterns in box condition and is a little prone to burn up on lighter and dry lane conditions. Can be used on lighter oil with a little more speed and a straighter more up the back release though. A little more polish may help there though.
In comparrison to other balls I own.
I would say its stronger in recovery than either of my 2 dynothane balls(Thing/ Thing Returns) and can handle a little more oil.
It is also stronger than my Shock Trauma.
I find that with my 2 other Lanemaster/legend balls that I have most oilier lanes covered(YeahBaby/WorldClass). I still have to carry a ball for dry lanes though as this is definatly too strong for that condition.
In conclusion I have shot all of my top scores with this ball ranging from a 299 to 770 over 3 and 973 over 4(including 2 X 279). Considering there have only ever been 2 x 300 in my area that should tell you how successful this ball has been.
I would give this ball the best recomendation that I can give a ball.
Its only downside is that it does mark up on wooden lanes but thats to be expected on oldish wood lanes.
I hope this is a satisfactory review as I plan on doing similar reviews on my Yeah Baby and World Class.

Layout:
Pin next to and slightly above ring, CG on the center line, Extra hole on PAP.
(4 1/2 x 4 1/2 layout)

Review:
The ball was clean through the heads with a strong back end reaction. The ball saves all of its "power" for the back end. I have had the most success on medium patterns playing around the 5 board and also on broken down patterns when a move inside is needed.

Overall:
This ball is a great go to ball when any of my particles are struggling to get thru the heads. Depending on the surface, I will choose The Buzz or the Absolute Power when the breakdown occurs. For me, this ball hooks less than my Buzz by about 2 to 3 boards. I've found this ball to work on a variety of angles.

Purchased mine back in the spring of '06. My usual specs, 15.3 3 1/2 top.  Drilled it 5 x 5 1/2 of my CG. This is my Dry lane ball. As long as you still have some film on the heads with this drill it will give you the length and not an over reaction on the backend. Have thrown this on a drier condition on wood and was able to play as deep as 4th arrow out to 7-10 at the breakpoint and not have any problem with it JERKING off the dry. The weight block matches up well with the coverstock I think and delivers an ABSOLUTE KO PUNCH to the pins. Have also Played a tighter line 15-10 as well. Comes in handy when you just don't feel like the condition is going to favor covering boards.

purchased this ball 4 weeks ago after enjoying the Yeah Baby. dilled the ball pin 1 1/2 from pap with cg on midplane. pin is sitting at 10:30 position in relation to the pap. i throw a quick ball with med revs. the ball has great length with a stronge controllable reaction. originally set the ball up for the house pattern in my home town. however played in a tourny in another town on a reverse pattern, dry inside and wet outside. played the Absolute Power up the middle of the lane and won the event with a 229 ave.

Picked this ball up from fellow BR Member: Axeweldr.  Ball is 15lbs with a 3" pin above the bridge and a small weight hole.  I was expecting this ball to be alot milder than my Masterpiece(layout in profile).  My local center has been on the medium-light to medium side lately and all my current stuff is too much.

Anyway, this ball even highly polished(wet-sanded up to 1000 grit scotch brite and polished with Storm's X-tra shine) is very angular on the backend, carry is excellent and can cover quite a few boards than I thought it could.  It is about 2 boards weaker than my Masterpiece(which is my least aggressive ball).

On my typical house shot(38' of CONTROL type oil buffed out to 45' with OB outside the 8 board), this ball was very aggressive once it hit dry and really digs in.  Throwing alot of Storm stuff recently before switching exclusively to L/LM stuff it reminded me of a Triple X, in shot shape with the same drilling.

Excellent ball by Legends/Lanemasters........
