LaneMasters has done it again!!! This ball does the work so I don't have to, and what I mean by this is that the particle pearl coverstock, the core that is in this ball, and the balance of the RG & Diff (not to mention pin action) has me convinced that this ball can read the lane conditions with great discernment like you would not believe. Great predecessor to the Sure Strike (reactive pearl coverstock); has an agressive backend on the last 20' to 15' on normal house shots, but GREAT arsenal for Tournament & PBA Patterns.  I truly love this ball!!!

I recently got my Counter Strike used from "The Bowlers Edge 2" that was in mint condition. I highly recomend purchasing from this seller!!!

The Counter Strike came drilled with the pin a inch or so above my two fingers, and the CG was swung out to the right a couple inches. It doesnt have a weight hole, and has a surface of 1000 Abralon. This ball has incredible length with a violent flip on the backend. I have seen many Sure Strikes that just didnt work well due to the weak coverstock I think, where as this ball reads the lane much better. What I am trying to say is just because you dont like the Sure Strike dont mean you are not going to like this piece... I got a Terminator Rebellion at the same time as this ball and this one is anywhere form 5-7 boards stronger at the breakpoint. This could be due to layout/surface, but this ball is much stronger than expected.

I would rate this ball a solid 9, because on some sport patterns this ball will have to much angle at the breakpoint to judge hook and carry. This ball also displays great carry and especially if you can hit light in the pocket... I think when a bowler runs into carrydown it will work good due to that great backend reaction it has. Lane Masters have come along ways and this ball is another great piece to one's arsenal. John Davis

Pin above ring, cg out slightly from stacked.
14.03 gross, 3" pin, 2.75 oz. top

I found this ball difficult to face the pocket properly when swinging the ball from just inside of the track area. The particle pearl grips the front and midlane but mellows out in the back. for me, the high RG core doesn't start up in time to  pick up a roll through the deck. The response off the dry is quite slow, Urethane-like. Playing down-and-in seems to be the only way to make it work. From this line, It mixes the pins very well on half pocket shots. I would say this ball would match up best with lower speed strokers who like to play direct, as this ball likes to be rolled, rather than hit on at the release (which I moderately do).

Thanks to Galen and the great staff at Lane Masters for sending me a Counter Strike to try.  Ball has a very smooth transition down the lane with a very controlled backend.  Got lucky, on the night I threw it the backends were very strong but there was enough oil in the front to allow it to push down the lane.  Almost a wet dry condition.  Started with the Sure Strike but backends to strong for it, switched to the Counter and had a wonderful reaction all night.  The rg really helps get it down the lane and the light load of particle allows it to have a strong controlled finish.  Another solid ball from Lane Masters with a great price!
