I drilled the ball up with the pin and cg out 3 3/4 inches from my axis.

I threw this on our fresh oil house shot and a 39 foot heavy oil sport shot. The ball was clean through the heads on both shot and then made a strong midlane move to the pocket. The Big Kahuna had plenty of punch at the pocket.

This ball is a couple boards less than the Yeah Baby in overall hook.

This ball will be good for a variety of house shots. I would say that this ball will be the Best overall ball in the Legends line that I have tested.

   I just punched this ball up a little over a week ago and i have loved it ever since. The ball reads the mid-lane pretty well and gives a good backend reaction and makes a good 1-2 combo with the high rev. i drilled it up to try lanemasters for the 1st time and because they would give me a free 2-ball tote if i tried it so i figured why not. It was one of the best moves i've made so far. I would highly recommend if you didn't already try them that you do so and you'll be glad you did.

I got this ball about six moths ago, i was originally intending it to be my heavy oil ball, which it definitely is NOT, on the heavy stuff this ball will not grip back the the pocket. However on the upside although it didn't work on heavy oil it was great for medium to medium heavy patterns, on these conditions it has a great even roll, with reasonable length and a hit that is just fantastic!! Also this makes a great combination with my satisfaxion, as it has that little bit of extra grip to get me back into the pocket when the lanes start to carry down.

I recently became a Lanemasters convert after I had such great success with both the Sting and the Guaranteed.  I bought the Big Kahuna NIB from Laybzz74 and drilled it label leverage as I plan on using it as my benchmark ball.  I haven't had the chance to throw it on a wide variety of conditions, but as near as I can tell this ball is best suited for medium to medium heavy conditions.  Contrary to what it says above, the Big Kahuna's colors are blue and silver, and the particle load is medium.  I can't figure out how this site got these wrong, perhaps there was an early release of the same ball.

Regardless, my first night out with the BK I was bowling on medium heavy oil.  The BK carried through the heads smoothly, revved up quicker than I expected and grabbed firmly in the mids, but still retained plenty of energy and made a strong, solid arc to the pocket.  I swung it across the 16 board at the arrows and, at the speed and angle I was throwing it, I expected it to carry down to about the five board, but the BK grabbed early and broke at about the ten board.  To my surprise the ball didn't come in high, rather it hung on the mids a few feet longer than usual for a particle ball and then made a nice smooth turn to the pocket.  The result was phenomenal...a loud crash and ten in the pit.  I used to see the same type of hit when I first started bowling and cannonballed a 16 pounder straight into the pocket as hard as I could.  ("Chickenfeathers" is the word we used to describe it.)  As I am now a classic stroker and I only use gravity to propel my ball forward, I don't usually get the crushing kind of strikes that crankers or cannonballers get.  It is my experience (although limited) that Lanemasters balls hit incredibly hard.

Today I threw the Big Kahuna on a short, medium light pattern and is still performed very well.  I expected it to burn out, but it retained energy enough to carry through the pocket with ease.  I probably won't use it on this type of pattern as my accuracy suffers when I have to throw the ball harder and farther out than usual.

I haven't had the chance to throw it on heavy oil yet, but I would guess that a move to the left would be all that it would take.  I have three more Lanemasters balls on the way (New Standard 2, Terminator, and Satisfaxion).  Although I imagine that I'll have quite a bit of arsenal crossover, I can't wait to get them drilled up and start throwing these also.

Once again, I have to give the Big Kahuna a solid 10 out of 10.

Update on 10/11/07:  Got to throw the BK on heavy oil tonight.  I struggled a bit in the first game leaving numerous 7 pins as I kept hitting a little light.  Found my groove and opened the second game with seven strikes in a row.  I got nervous and came in a little light on the eighth frame and left another 7 pin.  I overcompensated in the ninth frame and came in a little strong leaving a stone 9 pin.  Struck out in the tenth for a 268.  I can confidently say the Big Kahuna handles heavy oil quite well.
