So the 14# core is really weak on these balls?
Am I getting less reaction than a 15lb. or 16lb. ball drilled the same way?
Are they really taking core weight out, instead of filler or coverstock weight?
--------------------
Currently in the 6 ball roller:
14lb. EPX-T1 - Stacked - Heavy oil
14lb. Action - Stacked - Heavy/Medium oil
14lb. Absolute Inferno - 1:30 - Medium oil
14lb. Sahara - 11:50 Length - Medium oil
14lb. New Standard - Stacked - Medium - Dry
14lb. XXXL - Stacked - Spare ball

If i threw 14 lb balls i would probably not buy this brand but since i throw man weight balls like 16 and 15 lb its all good. You have the epxt1 why are you worried
Just prodding you for your pal Shelley hahaha
Your are correct imo the weight is out of the cores but i can tell you one thing these babies hit like trucks in 15 and 16 lb, so when you do move up it will all be a different outlook.

Lol... Norm Duke, probably the smallest player on the pba, even smaller than some woman lol, uses 16# stuff.
I dont remember who else does. I think Walter Ray does and for some reason I think Steve Jaros but could be wrong there.
-
I know lol. I had to be a smartarse about Norm Duke... To cover that up I just used a few other names.

WRW just switched back from 15# to 16#. They mentioned it on the WC telecast. For his straight game, the 16# deflects less and probably carries the 5-pin and 8-pin better.

yeah, they're just terrible. get rid of them quickly so you won't have to worry about them. They only make them in 14 lb sizes so they can rip you personally off. They don't test them or nothing. Maybe you should save your sales receipts, so you can take them to court and sue them.

I thought they always play with the core density to make balls heavier and lighter.

It appears that may be the case on L/LM balls although I will stop short of saying "yes it is".

That is what I hear, but again I will stop short of saying "yes it is".
However, Barry is dead-on about the hit of the 15 & 16 lb balls as I have witnessed this my self in watching the people that throw 15 & 16 L/LM balls.

Maybe they do and maybe they don't. Whatever.
To assume the ball is weak SOLELY because they removed core material is making a rash assumption. Ask Lanemasters how the core differs, IF YOU ARE TRULY WORRIED ABOUT THAT ASPECT. Ask how the RG and RG DIfferential differs from 14 to 15 to 16. Then ask how you should drill them to satisfy your desires.
You lose a vital pound somewhere along the line going from 16 to 15 to 14 in EVERY manufacturer's balls.
Unless you ask the proper expert about a subject, any conjecture makes any conclusion totally without merit.
FOR WHATEVER IT'S WORTH,
I have found huge disparities in older Brunswick balls between core specifications between 16 and 15 lb balls. This disparity required very different drillings to get similar reactions from the same model ball. This could very well be the case for Legends balls when going from 15 to 14 lb balls. I don't know; ask the expert: Call Galen at Legends.

OK, enough with the retarded joke sh|t alright..
I mean just because I have my opinion on things doesn't mean thye are right or wrong... At least I have the courage to be original, and stand my ground
To you few idiots that keep replying to my posts just to make lame jokes your a bunch of total dumd @ss kids... get a life
and to you ... mrbowlingnut ... after 5 yrs of throwing 15#s, i switch to 14# which really is a matter of maybe 13 ounces since I drill all heavy 14s .. around 14.5
I rolled 3 800 series and 3 300 games within 6 weeks of the switch.
For some bowlers the slight change in defelction through the 1 3 5 increases pin carry. Its not a matter of who ever throws more weight has a bigger shlong, you sound so damn lame its not even funny.
Dont reply to posts if you want to be lame.

None of the "PROS" on Legends staff seem to have a problem with 14lbs. Since all pros throw 14lbs right?? Why does it matter, if the pros can score with them...Don't all the PROS use 14s?

Just a heads-up, but the admin, Ben, doesn't take kindly to that sort of potty language. If you don't want to get banned or deleted, you really should change your post.

Go cry on your epxt1 you are the one who is lame buddy pal, anyone can crank a lighter weight ball it is a fact, so big deal that you have all these false revs from dropping a pound down in weight. As they say on SNL go be a girlie man and toss your heavy 14 and let me get this right and 1/2 balls.
Ps-Crank on this pal!!!

I to throw 14# stuff since tearing the ligaments in my wrist unfortunately and I have no problem with carry or scoring or even bowling for a little cash. CrankingInferno, just calm down, it will be alright. I get the same kidding from g_thing but they mean no harm by it. He has seen me roll the 14 when it counts. The funny thing is, my wife also rolls 14lb. and that gets a little more hackling out of him. Just don't take it personally!!!
