A public pat on the back for LM Advertising.
« on: December 10, 2008, 12:47:14 PM »
I picked up an old AZO Ultima RP (Pro Magic) that was NIB in a trade -- actually came in the original box, but didn't have any info other than the basics.  Since the ball was poured in the Santa Ana plant right before LM bought them, I gave it a shot and messaged him about the ball.

The next day I got a message back that he went out onto the floor and talked to the production manager to get the straight scoop about the ball -- since this person was also the production manager at the Santa Ana plant when the ball was poured.

This told me several things:
1.  LM Advertising (Darren) didn't have to do this since it was an AZO ball, but not only did he do it, he talked to someone who knows instead of just shooting me back generic info.
2.  Lane Masters apparently follows the philosophy of "if you find someone who knows how to do their job well -- keep them."
3.  In going into what detail he could about the ball, he let me know that the advertising specs out there on the ball are more than slightly incorrect.  So knowing the core shape, coverstock material, and RG makes my decision as to how to drill the ball more accurate for what I want it to do.

With people associated w/LM like Darren (and the drilling guru Galen), I really don't see the need to put my money into other companies equipment.  Quality comes in many forms -- and LM and their employees exemplifies all of them.
