Depends on how you throw the ball ...
I have 2, a 15 with a 5" pin under the center of the bridge
and a 16 witha 4.5" pin under the ring finger. Both are sanded to 2000 grit and then have a medium high gloss polish on them. I use the 16 to handle carrydown on medium oiled Guardian Overlays. This past season I used the 15 to handle carrydown when my medium-light oil ball, another company's pearl resin couldn't make the turn because of carrydown.
I suppose if you put the pin above the bridge level, you should be able to handle medium-light oil.
If your rev rate is less than your ball speed (speed dominant), you can also use it for light oil.
In my eyes, this ball acts more like a medium strength solid rather than a pearl.
I find it very similar to my Brunswick Bruiser. Not identical, similar, in oil handling ability and in general ball reaction.
