Best 2 ball combo
« on: November 11, 2006, 03:10:47 AM »
After buying the Big Bang P which handles everything from medium to medium-heavy conditons.(drilled stacked leverage).Went with the Buzz for the lighter conditions(drilled label leverage), and I think that I have found the best 2 ball punch I have seen in alot years of bowling. If the coverstocks hold up, I will be bowling LL for quite a while!

I have both Buzz for light.. and Big Bang P for true medium to medium heavy.. and I must agree...

If you want a nice strong heavy oil ball.. drill a Terminator.. and drill it early roll.  Or Perhaps a World Class P.

Terminator - Stacked - Heavy to medium oil
Big Bang - Stacked - Medium oil

I have been interested in a big bang for sometime, but i don't see how a sheen 800grit medium load particle ball can work for medium oil conitions any comments to this? I haven't heard one bad comment about the big bang as of yet, so i might add it to the bag

My combo is the Big Bang and the World Class Reactive.  I have never had a great reaction with a dull ball unitl this one.  I keep the surface of the Big Bang at 1000 Abralon, and I have never seen a ball read the mid lane so much.

Highly recommended - I dont think you will be disappointed with the Big Bang

You've rarely seen balls with coverstocks this strong. How many of any company's oilers have RGs that start as high as Legends' balls do? - 2.55 and higher!

Only someone with much less than average revs or someone with VERY high ball speed cannot use Legends balls for medium-heavy to true heavy oil patterns with their stock surface preparation.

If these balls came with the super low RGs, 2.45, that most other company's oilers come with, then they'd be all but unusable by everyone except those with very high ball speeds.

So do you guys think it would be wise to purchase, i would be using it primarily on fresh medium oil patterns for thursday night leagues, i am a stroker 18 to 20 mph and medium revs.

With that ball speed, the Big Bang would probably work for you. Its natural length plus its strong cover should, IN THEORY, mesh well with your ball speed + medium revs. If necessary, it can be polished VERY LIGHTLY, as needed.

I'd say it was an experiment with a reasonable expectation of success. Nothing is guaranteed!

LaneHammer ... I was wondering the same thing you were.. 800 grit?  medium load partical?  But it is in fact a perfect blend.. and everytime i get to use this ball.. I actually feel as though I am at least gonna average 247 that night.  Its just that perfect of a ball... the resin is a mild resin and the partical smoothes out a very long snap core... the result is a strong smooth, FORGIVING, ENERGY retaining ball that gets down the lane far and sets up late with a sweet strong hook... and when the line starts to dry a little... the ball shines even more as you move deeper.. making the back end more angular.

I would say the Big Bang P is the perfect all around medium to medium heavy oil ball.... Just use your favorite strong drill pattern.. trust me.. it won't over react.
