Another Buzz with a diffferent lay-out and a possible surface change, that is if you like the reaction you are getting from the Buzz.

You want it all, hunh?

The Buzz is the natural and designed partner for the Sting. There's really not a lot of room between them, seeing as how you're asking to handle more oil AND more hook AND more backend. Literally, there's not much available. Technically according to their own charts, the WCR and the SS would barely still be suitable and still have enough TRUE differentiation from the Sting.

Of course, using a pin that's higher than your current one YET closer to your PAP, and adding a SLIGHT bit of surface to a 16 lb Buzz might turn out to be the exact ball you're looking for. Remember that the 16 lb and the 15 lb Buzz's cores do differ slightly.

The SS has more length and more backend than the Buzz, as near as I can tell, and it MAY just handle the slightest bit more oil.

The WCR is the other possibility. It does handle slightly more oil but canbe sensitive in the Length department, from what I have seen. The Buzz has length but seems, to my hand and eyes, to be slightlyless sensitive.

I am not 100% sure that a stronger drilled Buzz or a WCR would satisify all your desires. It's a bit of a guessing game.

i did like my reaction with the buzz when i first got it.
but i bowl different now and i just havent used it in months, and every week in league seems my sting is 2 strong and my buzz just wont work

i was thinking the wcr as well or perhaps the ss if it handled more oil

how much sronger is the wcr then the buzz?
and how much weaker is it then the sting?

The BUZZ was intended when developed to be for when the pattern breaks down and you need to "open" the lanes up a bit; the STING will handle more oil and fresher oil ... the Sure Strike is a pearl reactive too but with a core simliar to the Yeah Baby (taller core ... different dymanics).

There is no magic formula to create those "5" boards. Experimentation is needed or some GREAT guessti-mations.

those balls do not yet exist; they are unknown entities.

I understand your dilemma. there is no magic formula.

In my best GUESS, 5 boards less than a Sting reuqires another sting, sanded to PROBABLY (this is a GUESS!) 1600 grit with Trizact Orange and then sanded to 5000 grit with a Trizact White Cerium Oxide pad, and add another 1" to a 1.5" distance to the current pin to PAP on your current Sting. Then polish the bejessus out of it with Legend's polish; then try it.

you are a troublemaker, aren't you? Just kidding.

I'm sorry; that's all I have.

Remember the Sting and many Lm/L balls are very unusual in their ball reactions. I'really not sure how to draw similarities betwen them and other brands. I'd help you more if I could. One more try -----

A Kong, add VERY light application of Legends polish (I repeat, very light), drill it with a 3" pin to PAP with pin height of about 1.5" above the midline and stack the CG below. If a weight hole is needed, put it at 5.5" beyond the Grip center.

Urban,
I have the Sting and Kong, both are drilled similar, but the Kong is slightly weaker. I guess weaker isn't a very good choice of words, about four to six boards less hook and more even! If I'm standing 17 out to 7 with the Kong, I'll have to stand about 21 or 22 out to 8 with the Sting! Both have the pin below ring finger and cg kicked to the right. I hope this helps, Bruce
