Big Bang
« on: September 27, 2006, 06:56:54 AM »
Just got it punched up and threw it in league last night (first 2 games, 179 and 298, threw the Terminator in the 3rd game-yup, switched balls after a 298- don't ask, it wasn't the right move!). It was a long, med-heavy pattern....had to move right a few boards and play up 5 but the ball came back hard and hit hard. Very hard.

It reacts better for me on this shot than my WC, in fact it will probably replace the WC in what I drag along. However, I think that the WC is also a great ball. I don't think it necessary to own both, either is plenty strong and with minor hand/surface adjustments both are very good for med heavy-heavy conditions. I just prefer the shape of the shot of the BB a little more than my WC.

Yep i am starting too like my terminator more and the big bang i prefer over the WC but my favorite is the Big Kahuna snag one of these fine gems before they are gone. I have another BK coming too put in my NIB stash for later or ebay, that will give me 4 BK's and 3 Kong's total.

mrbowlingnut, would you compare the difference in reaction for me between your terminator & BK. I know what the charts show, & I know about different layouts & different reactions depending on the individuals bowling style. I don't need to be reminded of any of that by others. I just want to know what YOU see the way you have them drilled, & I don't even really care how they are layed out. I would like to know which ball handles more oil, which ball goes longer, which one has more pop on the back, etc on a like lane condition. Thanks in advance!

Didn't mean to hijack golfnut!

i agree... i like my Terminator for the longer heavier oil patterns, but once they strart to break down, the Big bang is the go to ball for that deep inside read.

Update !!!

Just had my BB polished late this week after trying it at 4000 abralon without polish ... and FLIPPIN' WOW !!! I LOVE his ball now !!! Give me a good look for long and strong, as opposed to the WC and the Terminator, which I have to swing a bit; I rolled it for the first time after the polish was applied and had a 1072 series (4 game set) in practice today (783 front three games and an 817 back three ... 258, 249, 279, and 289). 7 pin in the first frame of the third game and a stone 9 pin in the 11th frame of the last game ... no splits, no opens, and only one 7 count {2nd game}.
The more I roll with this equipment, the more impressed that I am !!!
