Big Kahuna
« on: November 18, 2009, 03:13:07 PM »
Hi
i read the reviews on the lane masters section but if possible i want more info about this ball, what pattern is better? How work the ball with different cover? Into a lanemasters arsenal what place fit well?
If i compare the Big K with a World Class,WCPP, NS2, Masterpiece? Differences?
Any info and help is appreciated
Thanks in advance.

It's in the class with the WCPP, handling medium to medium-heavy oil.

It has a medium load of particles. They call it a solid, but I strongly suspect it's a solid/pearl combination. Far too much pearlized in it.

I made the mistake of drilling mine stacked, which is flippy, lots of backend  on medium oil. I'd only suggest such a drilling if you have firm ball speed.

It takes to polish very well, but remember it has diamond as the particles, which are very hard. You're not going to change them without diamond pads, However you can change the resin base in which they are emebedded.

The flare is low for some length and the coverstock is very strong to provide very good backend. Lots of Lanemasters hitting power, without a huge hook.
ALmost immune to carrydown unless you have really low revs or use a very high gloss polish.

LaneHammer meant to say "picked up the one JS had on here for sale."

JS is a BR.com member, friend of mine, who sells balls here once in a while.
