Here's a e-mail sent to me today from Jake Brichta with Lane Masters..
Our 2009/2010 Catalog is not out yet. How ever, I can type you the info on the balls. I've never heard of the xtreme damage or the ultimate power. Perhaps you are referring to the Xtreme Impact and the Absolute Power? Both of those balls have been retired and are no longer in production. Either the Dynamic Power or the Black Diamond would be a good choice for heavy oil. I find that the Black Diamond out hooked my Dynamic power by 3 - 4 boards on the USBC National Pattern. The only problem is, I found it to be too strong for normal house conditions. The Dynamic Power, however, is strong enough to cut through heavy oil, but still easily tamable to throw on a house shot. The Dynamic Power is a light load Solid Particle cover, wrapped around Lane Masters lowest rg core. It is a 3 piece ball, with the filler layer being made out of plastic rather than styrofoam. The Black Diamond is a Legends Line Light Load Diamond Particle ball, wrapped around a heavier version of the Black Pearl core. Both balls are great and perform with the life and hitting power of all Lane Masters balls. The Black Diamond is just a little bit stronger.
Hope this helps with your decision and let me know what you decide. Sorry for the delayed response as I have been very busy here by myself.

Why would he deny having knowledge of the Xtreme Damage and the Ultimate Power this close to the release??
