Black Diamond Surface Adjustment Question
« on: March 08, 2010, 09:00:23 AM »
Has anyone who has a Black Diamond tried adjusting the coverstock from OOB? I want to take the surface down to smooth out the back end reaction a bit. Any suggestions appreciated.

I have tried several different surfaces on mine. I'm currently using 4000 grit without polish. That seems to work best for my style and where I bowl.

The OOB finish never worked for me. But mine was sheen when I got it. I even took it to an almost mirror polish, which gave an interesting look on the lane, but the 4000 grit seems to be the best.

I've had very good success with mine at 2000 Abralon and a hint of Legends Polish.  I too, have tried several surface alterations and finally settled on the above mentioned one.

Thanksfor the replies. I have been thinking 2000 abralon without polish myself. I'll give it a try.
