l/lm ball for medium oil and control?
« on: February 01, 2007, 01:00:25 PM »
Im looking for something for medium oil, that is extremely controllable.  As of right now, my most controllable ball is either my WCP or my Total inferno, both come off they dry pretty hard, but r very consistant.  Im looking for something with a LOT more control.

Basically what im looking for is something that gets the length of my WCP, with a nice soft arc, able to cover the boards on drier back ends, but never be flippy.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I just purchased a Big R Bang and really love it.  The way ball clears the heads and handles med/light conditions is really great.  The shinny cover and the force it has, when it hit's the pocket is really great.  When the Terminator and Yeah Baby are too much, I go with this.

I think the Big-R Bang is way too skid-flippy to be considered a control ball.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

Shawn?

What are your stats. Kinalyx?

For me on longer medium with a control layout the NS2 shines.  Great on flatter conditions when no over reaction is needed.

YMMV on your technique, how you play the lanes and what your comfort zone is.  Many, many variables to be exact.

i keep forgetting to add that, lol.  Im a medium/high speed player(17-18mph) with medium/high revs(between 350 & 400).   I dont really have a preferred line, ill play down & in, up the boards, the track or the full wheel, just depends what is getting me to the pocket that day.

Scott, we seem to have a somewhat similar game, other than my track, my pap is 5-1/2 over & 1/8 up.

What drill do u hve on your NS2?  OOB condition?

Sorry Kinalyx didn't see this to respond.  My NS2 is pin drilled out right under the ring finger and CG kicked out to a 45 deg. layout.  Characteristics of the ball are controllable arc works very well on longer flatter conditions.  No skid flip here.  Needs head oil to hit well.

Other suggestion is to wait for next LM/L ball designed for that hole they have below medium to dry.

I really like the Absolute Power for a comtrol shot on mediums.  This ball has so much control I can use it on med light to med heavy.  This is a great benchmark ball.

Big Bang is the most controllable ball.. drill it long arc.. and you'll love it..

or try to find a Kong if you think thats too much.... KING is really controllable and very smooth and arclike
