As these are just becoming available why are they not yet on the approved ball list? Don't manufacturers usually have them approved BEFORE release? Just curious.....

Hmmmm......that is weird golfnutFL.  Wouldn't be right to release a ball without approval.  

FWIW......Roto Grips Horizon Solid was released this week and is on the approved ball list.

Guys,
 I checked BOWL.COM and saw nothing on them, and for some reason I can't call up the links on the PBA site to check what they have on them; I'll check with Galen on Monday and report back.

BTW, I KNOW that they where released for sale a few weeks earlier than orginally planned ... and I'd be VERY surprised if they're nOT approved equipment. I'll report back Monday ...

UPDATE to y'all from Galen Gentry via ME!!!
 They ARE USBC approved, for sure !!!
The BRB and BP, along with the Terminator and WCR, were ALL USBC approved on July 11th of this year; the understandable confusion lies in the fact that USBC won't post them as such until the agreed upon release date, in the case of the BRB and the BP, that date was 15 October ... "L/LM" decided to release them to the distributors early and BOWL.com and PBA.com haven't added them to the apprioved lists yet
 Bottom line ... they ARE legal and approved, and any honor scores posted with them will be legal too !!!

My Black Pearl arrives tomorrow from AllStarBowling-Joe; layout is:

3 oz TW and 3 1/2" pin, 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 layout, pin above & right of the ring,
cg above the midline, OOB, no WH

Robb--These balls aren't approved until Oct. 15th correct?  So, if anyone rolls them in sanctioned competition that's a no-no.....whatever LM/L decides to do is their business decision but you guys should know better.....than to use them in sanctioned play.  Least that's the way I look at it.  I doubt anyone of you would for that matter.

My understanding is that the balls have been approved since July 11th, they just haven't been put up on the list yet, since the offical release date is october 15th.

BL....So that's the official date correct?

ie.  When Visionary got approval for their Immortal line last fall it was on the approved list but Visionary did not produce them.  IMO.....it has to be on the approved list before it's approved.  Just my take.  Could be wrong but I'd bet a beer on it.

 Not from what Galen told me yesterday; they are USBS-approved as of 11 July, so regardless of when they go out to the distributors for sale, they are OK.  
 BTW, as I stated in another post, BTM has an ad for the Black Pearl and it has the "USBC approved" logo on the ad too.
