Considering its not even released yet even to staffers, i dont think anyone knows. Compare thr numbers and you could get a good guess. Same core, updated cover. My guess, stronger downlane motion.

I believe this is a second offering of this ball, I believe it was released as one of the balls when LM/LF started back in business, about a year ago.

I've only thrown it once so far... but it was great on a THS after league. The lanes were pretty dry, but there was still some oil in the middle. Like most good pearls, it went long, but this one made a strong but smooth move off the spot and had great continuation thru the pin deck. More importantly (for me), it was very forgiving. Not only did I have some room area-wise, but if my release wasnt perfect, the ball still hit like it was. I was in around 23-25 and the ball still had minimal deflection. First 2 games out the box were 264-258.

I like to have more games in more centers before writing an offical review, but so far this ball looks as good or better than most other balls I've seen/thrown in this range.

From what others have posted, and what I was told...pretty much it has good length (not on bone dry for those with hand) and controllable, smooth, strong turn off the spot.

Would the Xtreme Damage Platinum be a ball to go to when BPBO is too much?

That, or the Crucial. My crucial fits nicely under BPBO, and I've done well when the lane conditions get drier. I have the XDP (nib) too and I haven't got'n it drilled yet because the crucial has been doing well so far.
