Conquerer vs Terminator
« on: August 18, 2008, 02:04:13 AM »
I'm debating which one I to get for my Thursday night league. Does anyone have any opinions on which one I should get? Can anyone give me somewhat of a comparison between the two?

Well these two balls will be very similiar so your decision will just be which one you maybe like the looks of better... I think the Conquerer is alot better looking especially if u get one with alot of white in it.

The good part about getting a Conquerer is it may hold a little more value for it was a limited edition. So it may be easy to sell if you didnt like it or couple years down the road just wanted to sell it. The Terminators however are selling for much cheaper right now.

Both balls rev up very well and provide awsome length! Seems like both ball mentioned are a few feet longer than the Black Pearl at box finish. Other than that I couldnt see any difference what so ever in these two. I hope I helped in any way. John

truex,

A friend of mine, ballreviews userid: JS, had both of them. the one time I saw him use them both during one of our practices, they were relatively similar in nature, with the Conqueror being slightly earlier and more arc-y both are arc-y balls. However, that was on a house blended shot, which can hide differences between balls. That difference may be accentuated on heavier oil, because the COnqueror was supposed to be for heavier oil than the Terminator, if I recall correctly.

If I were you and no one else replies to this post (I think Pat Patterson also owns a Conqueror), please message JS and tell him I suggested you speak to him. He's not here all the time so he may take some time to reply.

truexmiracle,

I own two Conquerers(see profile for layouts), one is pin above and one is pin below rf.  The Pin-up Conquerer for me is indentical to my Pin-up Terminator, both are pretty much box condition.  My pin under rf Conquerer is much, much earlier then the other two.

Hope this helps,

Pat I actually have a pin down conquerer and a pin up conquerer and the pin down one is maybe just a tad earlier than the pin up one... Sometimes it is even hard to tell because they go about the same distance. There is , however, a HUGE difference in the backend shape between the two! The pin up is making a U turn and the pin down is so smooth it aint even funny!

I really cant say enough about The Conquerer and the Terminator, they are truely amazing pieces. I just wish more people would give them a chance. I will try and get some pics of all my equipment in the next few days so you guys can see the exact layouts.

If you can get one at a reasonable price then do it! You can always find a Terminator later on but these balls wont be around very much longer. John  Davis

Thanks everyone for their input. I really appreciate it. I just needed something to compliment my World Class Particle that I've been using when the lane breaks down a bit and my Red Alert that I'm currently using is breaking down on me... I think I might end up getting the Terminator. I will write back after I get a few shots with it.

Now that L&LM don't come with their extras package, what kind of a cleaner should i get for the Terminator besides the one that L&LM has.

You can still get Lanemasters cleaner in many sizes (4 oz, 16 oz, 32 oz) from places like Buddies:
http://www.buddiesproshop.com/products/28-CleanersPolishes/0~99999/8-Legends_and_Lane_Masters/All/All/page.htm
It's still my #1 choice for an everyday cleaner.

For whatever it's worth, my next favorites were Neo-Tac's Liquid Nitro: http://www.buddiesproshop.com/product/2670/Neo-Tac_Liquid_Nitro.htm
and Ultimate's Rejuvenator: http://www.bowlersparadise.com/shop/cp/ultimate_bowling/ultimate_black_magic_rejuvenator_6_oz_.shtml.

HOWEVER, given that Valentino just came out with their cleaner, called, Remedy, ... well, I still have to try it before I recommend it.

Liquid Nitro is some good stuff, I use it on all my equipment.
I still got to get some of the new Remedy RX to try.
