Lane Master Wasp Sting
« on: February 15, 2022, 09:06:25 AM »
This weekend I punched up a Wasp Sting.  I put my 2nd favorite layout on it (80 x 4-3/4 x 40).  I have 1 main requirement when contemplating rolling new equipment (brands), something has to match up to a Hyroad Pearl.  This ball does just that, with 1 exception, flare.  My initial feelings are, this ball is amazing.  I did not expect this out of this ball.  3rd game, there was a bit of a burn spot around 15.  I was not rolling the ball all that well, so playing deeper wasnt really an option.  I hadnt rolled the Wasp Sting but 4 or 5 pitches the day before in practice.  I took an educated guess and was rather accurate.  This ball cleared the heads, checked up a tad earlier than i would have liked, but was still manageable, and then just ripped the rack.  Ball was so predictable and clean on a condition that wasnt.  A small surface change will fix my only issue.  This ball is will remain in my bag for a while.
My specs
PAP   4-5/8 x ^ 3/4
MPH  16.5 (Hand)
RPM  400
Tilt    12°
Rotation  60°

What I wouldn't give for an original Sting...
"If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?"

"If you don't stand for our flag, then don't expect me to give a damn about your feelings."
