Sure Strike..VS XS power
« on: March 23, 2008, 02:30:56 AM »
I was wondering if the sure strike is more of a skid/skip or a arc ball?

I do not own a Sure Strike, but, by the numbers/coverstock, it looks like it isn't a TRUE "skid/flip", but it looks like it would have decent length with a stronger "arc" type motion off the dry.

If that's completely wrong, sorry! Just trying to help. Maybe others who actually own the ball will comment, too

It is SMOOOOOTH. At least mine is.  5" pin-pap, over fingers. CG swung slightly out no x-hole.  Benchmark ball for me, dependable, and predictable.  Not strong, but smooth and controlled a lot.

Definitely the Sure Strike.  The cover on the XS power will pick up too early leaving you an undesirable reaction.

But make sure you use a weaker length layout or the Sure Strike will read the mids, too.  I would suggest 5" to PAP as a starting point, but see what your shop operator says regards to your style.

Sounds great, although you may need something more aggressive in the long run.  Counter Strike
