Control ball

I would like to buy a control ball (smooth) to my arsenal.
When I started, I wanted a skid/flip balls, but now, after a year of playing I'm realized, that not the look, but constancy and control is the game
Now I have:
Urethane - Light to medium.
Hornet 2500 grit - play with it on almost any conditions.
C300 Messenger Ti Traction -  more rough (grey scotch brite) for long conditions.
Big R Bang (OOB) - Cannot find use for this ball. Too much backend.
Big Bang - not drilled, because of BRB reaction

High revs and medium to high speed. Pap -> 6"

I would like to try particle to get better constancy on carrydown.
I'm looking at NS2... Would it be ok?

i totally forgot about the world class particle. massive impact is about the same with differnt roll and hit. both are great for smooth hook and takin on carrydown

Charlest: then would it be better a Sting than a Black Pearl for control in  medium heavy oil? Drilled stacked? (how would you drill it for a tweener?). Thanks.

Terminator, xspower, world class particle, big kahuna probably the sting only one i do not have or had.

All would do the trick for control on carrydown and make the turn enough still.

The Sting is not a control ball, neither is the Black Pearl. If you took the surface down on the Sting, by hazing the cover and removing most of the shine WITHOUT making it totally dull, it would be more towards the controllable phase. With its polished cover, it's as flippy as many pearls.

The Terminator or the COnqueror is more even reacting and rolling for medium-heavy. They're only for heavy when you take off the polish.

If you've neever drilled a Lanemasters before, I'd start with your favorite drill but put it on a used one. New ones are too expensive to experiment with L/Lm balls are slightly different for many people, with their slightly higher basic RG cores.

I would think the Terminator Rebellion would be a good control ball (similar to the other responses though, it depends on how you drill it).  

For low rev players, it seems like the stronger core and cover balls give them a better and more consistant reaction so they feel like it is a good control ball, where as the heavy handers could easily get an over under reaction on wet/dry and have trouble getting it down lane on short patterns especially if drilled the least bit strong (always too much too soon).

Depending on your game, determines what will probably work best for you.  For me, a weaker core ball like the TR, or WCR VS something like the BP or XS Power would fit the bill as something of a control ball.  But for my fiance who is speed dominant, its backwards.  Try discussing your situation with your driller, or a local coach to examin your game, and they could help you make a decision that will better suit you.

Drill up that Big Bang.  I found it to have a very controlled arc to the pocket.  The BB is on the stronger side, but doesn't get snappy or flippy if you polish it up.  If you can drill it pin over ring and stacked it'll go just a wee bit longer, but still make a strong, steady arc to the pocket and won't quit on you.

I have the Big Bang, World Class Particle Pearl, Conqueror, Terminator Rebellion and XS Power.  No matter what I seem to try and adjustments I make, I always end up going to my XS Power.  It gives me the most consistent roll, mid lane read, and predictability off the break point, no matter what the pattern, in my two PBA Experience leagues this summer.  Don't over this ball if you don't have it in your arsenal.

They should overlap just enough to be go-to balls.
WHen the NS is too much or too early, you should be able to then use the XS Power. That is, of course, if drill them similarly and don't make large changes to the surfaces.
