Except the Straight Flush, which has a traditional 3-piece pancake core, all of their balls are cover/core only with no fillers.

Then that's new.  The ad shows the cover going all the way to the core like the rest of the L/LM balls.  As much as they pump themselves up by screaming "Handmade, no filler!" to everyone in sight, I can't see them making an core/filler/cover ball.

I'm not sure.  From the ad, Tri Density usually infers fillers.  Core, cover, and filler are the three densities.  They could have a multi density core, but it doesn't look like it, and I think all of their previous cores were single density.

I thought I remembered seeing a post here stating that some or all of their new releases would use filler.

A picture of Pat Patterson's Conquerer.  It appears to have filler as there is a dramatic color change visible in that weighthole.

I don't think it is a dramatic issue. But if a company claims or don't clarify the rumor about the "Handmade, no filler!" thing we should be aware. I consider myself an adult customer and i have absolutely no problem with a core-filler-cover combo if quality is still the same. I just don't like to be misinformed and it would be a nice move from LM/L to clarifying that.

By the way, here is the post where people talk about them starting to switch to balls with filler.  I don't know how accurate the information is, but where there's smoke...

What that picture of the Conqueror is showing is the 2 different densities that are used in the ball.  This is a dual density ball, meaning the outer density is a 73 hardness and the inner density is 78-80.  Lanemasters chose to use two different colors to differentiate between the densities but both are Grade A resin.  There is no polyester filler in the Conqueror.

Their new line of mid-priced balls coming out will feature polyester fillers between the cover and core.

Yes i have heard the mid price line was going have fillers, the dual density trick is pretty cool though i like the idea of that in high po balls for longevity.

Anybody have the Sure Strike mid price ball yet???

they are going to have a mid-priced and entry lines with filler, but their top of the line equipment will still be all grade A resin.  All of the balls currently in their lanemasters, legends, or max performance lines with the exception of the straight flush, and the dual density conqueror are coverstock all the way to the core.

The lines with fillers will be the High performance, performance plus, and entry performance.  As of now, the balls included in these are XS Power, Dynamic Power, Sure Strike, Counter Strike, Juiced, Kingpin, and Arrow.  With the exception of the Arrow (plastic all the way through), they are all new releases.

Yes L/LM will have mid nd entry level balls will have filler. this is only so they can produce a lighter ball. To make a lighter ball with full cover to core would cause the core to be modified and then less massive. The fact is in L/LM balls most of the weight is from the cover basicly 11.LBS of pure cover is around the core. So to take any more weight from the core to offer a lighter ball would bring core dinamics down so far the point of the core would almost be lost.
