I'm curious. How does L/L create the topweight if there is no filler? The only possibility I can come up with is to incorporate it into the core. Right, or wrong?

Actually, it occurs to me that I'm assuming topweight is usually created by a dense spot in the filler that is separate from the core. In the past I think that was true, but I'm not so sure it is anymore.

They create top weight by tilting the core in the ball...  kinda like the cut away for the following ball -

Notice how the core doesn't line up with the pin?  The area where it is the closest to the surface of the ball would be what creates a heavy spot.  The further it is tipped the large the pin out and sometimes the higher the top weight.
