I was expecting a ball for medium heavy conditions, but my Sahara actually was just as long, but stronger on the back end.

With my new standard drilled stacked leverage, even with it drilled strong, its a great ball for medium to lighter oil for me.

It has a nice arc reaction and I look forward to playing some beatten up patterns with it.

Medium-light

Hmmmmmmmmm .... something doesn't sound right there; that ball should be much stronger for you than that. Sounds to me as it there is a bad matchup somewhere ... maybe the combination of pin length, TW, layout and your particular style, I guessing.
I'm curious to hear what Charlest's thought are on this matter; also, I'd recommend getting in touch with Galen at Legends and running it passed him to get his opinion.

Hey Laybzz74 all this guy talks about is how great the EPX-T1 is. The greatest thing to ever hit the bowling world and how every other ball is no where close to it in heavy oil...

All hes trying to do is stir up some trouble in the L/L forum

I did a test with my New Standard and EPX-T1 and on heavy oil, the EPX-T1...

You are correct ... the NS2 is stronger and designed to be as such as compared to the NS.

Shelley,
We never said that the NS was a "heavy oiler" ... it's more of a medium to medium-heavy ball; and we are comparing a particle ball to an epoxy ball ... that's kind of an "apples to oranges" comparison, very similair to the comparison of particle to reactive resin.

Agreed ... the NS is a very nice, arcing ball for medium conditions ; however, I've noticed that you can really get it to "left turn Clyde" with an adjustment in ball speed and your hand position.

I would agree with Shelly that the EPX-1 out hooks everything
on the market. That said, it was a very difficult ball for me
to sell in my shop:

1. Price;
2. Hideous appearance;
3. Required heavy maintenance;
4. Poor reliability (cracked);
5. Very condition specific ball.

Bowljr300, you probably drill like sh!t(if you even know how to drill at all). For a Pro Shop owner or employee I would imagine you are open minded to technology. You sound like some ONE manufacturer only type guy that says stuff like this company is the best, and the others suck. Yor most likly the guy in the back cleaning up after the real guys that drill and you just sit there with your thumb up your @ss... Your lame EPX cracks make you sound like a 5yr old. Your Pro Shop must be as big a joke as you are.

Yeah! The EPX-T1 is the future of bowling. Epoxy is the greatest coverstock advancement since they started making balls round. If you can't sell it it's because you are teh suck! EPX-T1 rules all other balls on all conditions. And after 50 games, when those other balls are deader than dirt, I just give my EPX-T1 a hot water bath and it's like new. It's because the epoxy coverstock is so different and revolutionary. Really.

No one should have any problem with that. It is, in general for medium to medium heavy oil patterns depending on your hand and release; it is a light load of particles.

However, keep in mind that house oil patterns have a strong tendency to mask differences between balls. You should always try any balls in several different house on different lane surfaces and different oil patterns before forming a fixed opinion of any ball.

Unless it is polished, a New Standard should barely be usable on the same oil pattern as a Sahara. House blends are inclined to make any ball usable as long as you can hit the dry.

Did someone hint to you that these balls should be usable on the same conditions? If so, I feel they were wrong in doing so. Of course you can comapre any ball to any other ball at any time, like a Tropical Storm and a Fired Up; that doesn't make them comparable balls.
