I have it from a very reliable source.  I know that the wanted to make core in core balls versus core and shell only.  It is cheaper to make the polyester cores in China.

Ok, time to change my name then..  Too many of my buddies have lost jobs to india and china..  I am in I.T and very lucky to still have mine..  If anyone else out there has heard this or knows if it is true, I can't be the only one upset by this...

You do know that almost all polyester balls are now made in China, don't you?
T-Zone might be the exception, IF it's made in Mexico.
If polyester balls are made in China, why not make polyester cores in China, too?

Actually I thought most Lanemaster cores were made of urethane. I could be wrong.

By the way, out of the last 10 non-food items you have bought, if 5 of them weren't made in China, I'd be shocked. There is no longer any way out of this problem. A cotton shirt made in America these days would cost you $250, maybe more. Only the Goldman-Sachs executives getting a BILLION dollar bonus couretsy of Congress's Bailout plan can afford those prices.

If it wasn't so expensive to do business in America versus outsourcing, you wouldn't see more companies what's doing right for their bottom line versus spending more money just to "keep jobs in America."  I don't blame any company for moving production to another country to save costs -- it makes perfect sense to me.  (And for the record, I work in IT as well)

dont know if that includes the blue dot.. i would think so.. i know all white dots and maxims do say made in U.S.A on them... so i would think that they would.. but white dots for a short time were being made in china but since then the production has been moved back to hopkinsville
