I remember seeing somewhere, an advertisement for the DP that showed it being offered in a particle cover and also a solid reactive cover. Has anyone heard of this.
-
That's what I thought originally, but I know I saw an advertisement somewhere that showed the 2 different covers. I'm going to have to find that ad and pass it on.
-
Here is where I saw it. I thought it was an ad, but it turned up on a website.
Product #6663 Is the reactive resin coverstock. Notice the logo doesn't say particle. http://www.bowlingball.com/Bowling-Ball-6663/lane-masters-dynamic-power.html
Product #6569 is the particle coverstock. It has Particle on the logo.

While I suppose it's possible that LM did intend to market a resin version of the DP, that is, after all, "just" an internet catalog. Unless they, bowlingball.com, can corroborate the existence of such a ball, I'd assume someone made a mistake and cataloged the DP twice, once as a particle and once as a resin. I have to assume, until evidence to the contrary, that the Lanemasters website is correct.
Remember that LM delayed the intro to add more flare to the DP to insure contunation at the pindeck and to insure that the strong coverstock did not roll out. This delay might have been the cause for BB.com to make a double entry for the DP.

I'm not sure what difference it makes, but on the Lanemasters home page there is a picture of the reactive Dynamic Power. In the part about the new release of the Black Pearl Reactive there are 2 balls pictures, one appears to be the Dynamic Power without the particle label.

Just curious if anyone has actually seen one of these in person yet? I know they were supposed to be shipped already. Anyone have one and thrown it yet? We're about to make our college order with them and I know 4-5 that are getting one so maybe we can burn in an outside line when it's OOB. Curious as to what people think of them.
