There have been a number of postings recently about L/LM's abilities to deliver on time etc but please bear in mind that these guys represent a small dedicated company that have survived a major economic downturn whereas many other businesses have gone down the pan. Surely we should be celebrating the fact that that they have survived to fight another day? If I have to wait another six months before I can throw a widow maker then I will take the pleasure of looking forward to that day and in the interim enjoy bowling with the seven other L/LM balls that I own.

i don't like their equipment... but i second that...
most companies that starts a business in this industry ended up being eaten by other company and this one has prevailed all kind of obstacles.
Btw i think that this company fans or user, should support this company in this hard time they're having and not complain about WHY DID YOU PUSH THE DAY .... or WHERE ARE THE ORDER I PLACED..?

I agree that Lanemaster makes some of the best balls in the business, and they do not release a ball every month like some of the big companies. However, if you advertise a release date for a bowling ball you should strive hard to meet that date. Customer satisfaction involves not only delivering a quality product, but delivering that product by the promise date.

Thanks Shaggy... I totally agree with your post... I love L/M equipment, with that said what about that potential new L/M customer who's been waiting for there (SWM) since October?.. Trust me there never gonna give L/M another chance.. Furthermore now you have someone who's a advocate against L/M..

Small manufacturer with not so many people wearing too many hats. Being a small manufacturer usually means great interaction via the phone, personal service but production isn't always as fast as some would like.
Maybe it's just me being an older person but the younger generation is all about immediate gratification and when equipment isn't released on said date....we're all up in arms. I see this on the Visionary forum frequently another small manufacturer.
Take a look at LM's website that should tell you that they just don't have enough people to cover all the bases. It's a telling sign in the age of the internet.
To add...larger companies in the recent past have pushed back ball introductions so it's not all small manufacturers. Recently, Track had such a run on their new release 916AT that they pushed back other balls in their production schedule. I get the ball when I get it but I am an old fuddy duddy.

small company but high quality in their balls.
problems on date'release it can be happen on a small company, but i understand an exigent customer that if he read a date release he want info about the delay.
But if you like this label more than others i think that it's not a so big problem a different date for a new release.
Obviously this is only an opinion by a Lanemasters Fan

Lane Masters has had this ball ready for a couple of months now. I know as I have had one for at least 6 weeks or so.
The delay with the SWM was with USBC. The ball had been submitted for approval, but was "in line" behind quite a few other releases from the other manufacturers. So the fault isn't all with Lane Masters.

Thanks for the update on the delay of the Sting Widow Maker. Delays in ball releases will occur but it is important that the company communicate this information to its customers via the Internet, proshops, etc. Effective communication with customers is more critical than ever in todays business environment. I am looking forward to future Lanemaster bowling ball releases.
