Title: haus diamond pads???
Post by: Big Kahuna on February 22, 2007, 06:14:17 AM
according to Legends/LM site, to resurface a ball, you should be using the HAUS DIAMOND PADS.  my questions are....

1.  what grit should be used?
2.  where can i find them?

thanks in advance for you help...

They go the Haus resurfacing machine. The machine costs $3150. Just go to your pro shop and ask him if he uses one. If he uses a different brand like Ebonite or the Cook Sphere machine go to another pro shop that has the Haus. It's the bast machine on the market and basically the only one that will resurface your Legends stuff correctly.

Here is a photo of one, there was an older model that looked a little bit different so dont just go by looks. https://www.shop.innovativebowling.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=358&categoryId=59

well I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to find one of those within a 100 mile radius from me, so I guess i am going to just have to tough it out with my Vortex spinner

Hi Ferdie,

If you get some of these diamond pads, would you post your opinion of them here after you've had a chance to test them?

Curious minds want to know...

Thanks

chris

yes the cleanewr is the best all purpose cleaner you can get, only being beat by Tracks clean and dull, but that is a deep cleaner.

I'd do a bit more research before you order those pads..from the looks of them they are flat sanding "blocks" and most likely will not be good for use on your ball.  They do not appear to be flexible enough to contour the balls surface which will create  uneven sanding pattern and a potential flat spot on the ball.

to me it seems like that the pads are separated from the sanding blocks.  if you look at the set of 8 pads for S75.   there are no big gaps in between.  to find out for sure, i'll contact the company and ask before they ship my order.

Hi this is the first reply I have done so please bare with me, my friends and I bowl at Shrewsbury UK we have no local proshop so to keep my gear in top shape I got the haus resurfacing system had the machine shipped to me about 2 years ago and it is the best you can get bar none local bowlers who know of me use my service not had one complaint. The directions on the L/M website to get your ball back to OOB finish is close to what you can get on the Haus you must remember that the finish from the burgundy green grey and white can also be affected by how long each one is used and how used it is but all I wanted to say was if you can find somebody who has the system USE IT you will not be disappointed
