Help for a newbie
« on: March 14, 2007, 04:51:23 AM »
Hi,
I am a novice adult bowler who just began bowling in September.  I love it and have been fortunate to receive good advice from several people and participate in a fun league where I average 170.  I've evan managed a few 200's and a 254, although that one was without the pressure of league play and in practice.
I am a right handed, full roller, and typically stand on 20/22 and aim for 12, depending on lane conditions which are usually dry unless they have had a tournament.  I throw a 15 lb Columbia blue dot for spares and a 15 lb Brunswick Total Inferno for my strike ball.  I would like to expand my ball arsenal.  I was looking at the Storm Jolt Pearl, the Roto Grip Venus and the MoRich Awesome Revs, but a couple of bowlers have suggested Lanemaster and after checking out their website and reading some reviews I plan to pick up at least a couple of balls from them.  Our house condition is typically a medium/dry to dry shot. I would like to get balls that will work well for our house and conditions I will find at tournaments.  I love bowling and plan to do it for quite some time, so an investment now for our house and future tournaments is not a problem.  What would you recommend?
Thank you so much for your time and assistance.
Tracy

Tracy,
I add my welcome too; my suggestion, FWIW, is to call and speak to some folks out in Stocton, CA at LEGENDS about recommendations ... an extended, casual conversation with Gaeln Gentry will DEFINITELY get you going in the proper direction IMHO. I have spoken with him on a regular basis since I became "brand loyal" to theri equipment about a year ago ... contac is:

Good luck and again, welcome !!!
