Hornet info
« on: May 01, 2011, 12:43:05 AM »
Hi

I have a question about this ball.

I have one drilled and it's one of my favorite balls for short oil and very dry lanes.

I bought this ball 4 years ago ( but drilled only in 2010),the cover is very similar to a plastic ball.

I bought another at the end of the 2010 and the cover seem very pearl and different from mine.

A teammate has drilled one in january and it's similar to my second hornet but very different from mine old hornet.

Also on the lane the reaction is very different : mine is good only on short pattern or with lanes very dry, my teammate on the opposite can play his hornet only on medium pattern .

We don't have huge differences in ball speed and rev rate so the question is:

Is it possible that the first Hornet was different from the hornet available now? Is there something different on the cover now?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be interested in hearing response because I have one with three game on it and it is really long and also can only be used on short and dry conditions . On medium dry this ball is really long maybe send your serial number and we can see if ours are from the same batch. I haven't found a need to use this ball yet just not dry enough.

Personally, I have not heard of any new coverstock for the Hornet, other than the red one for an overseas version.

Hi Charlest

i'm agree with you the cover is always the evolution pearl HD , but it seems different in my two Hornet.

The finish of the cover is very similar to the Buzz (the rerelease from LM in 2009).
