hornet vs Crimson executioner
« on: March 09, 2007, 04:25:12 AM »
hi all,

To those that have thrown the crimson (my favourite visionary ball), how do you think the hornet compares. Its about the only ball I can see replacing my crimson at the moment from the LM/L line.

thanks in advance

Dale,

I roll a Buzz now and owned a Crimson Red Ex. in 16 lbs. before I went to 15's.

With basically the same layout I'd say the Crimson is slightly stronger but not much.  Very similar ball motion.  Buzz has a lot of torque and snap off the break point a lil more like the Greenie.  Crimson Ex. was a lil less snappish off the spot.  Visionary's pearl covers have always been one of their strong suits.  LM/L's pearl covers are good....I am learning more as I use the Buzz more and with the Hornet coming on board.

I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Crimson is RG:    Low (2.49")
Flare:    Medium (.045" differential)

Buzz is RG:  Low 2.58
Flare 3-4"s (.031 differential)
