I'm just looking for something to use on the viper, USBC Masters, and cheetah, after the pattern breaks down a bit in the fronts and I want something that I can get to push a bit through the friction for a second/few feet before it makes its hard turn. Most of the polished/pearls I have react too quickly to the friction for me and I cant get a comfortable and consistant line with my slower ball speed.
I wanted to drill the ball with the Pin distance higher and away from my PAP to try and delay this, I just dont want a ball with a turd core to do it with (I want to drill a stronger ball weaker, rather than a weaker ball strong.. I haven't had much success with Scout/R's and such with carry).
I'm looking at 1-2" above my middle finger probably (4 5/16> / 3/4^ PAP - so roughly 6" Pin distance), with CG positive/right of grip center about 2". It seems like when I have the pin below my ring on a ball, and then simply raise it above my ring; with my verticle measurement, and shorter horiz. measurement the distance isn't really that far apart (thats why my thought on the drilling seems so extreme). The total board coverege remains about the same on balls drilled like that(on THS)its just the pin up ball is a little cleaner in the front but the backend reaction is stronger evening out the coverage (with hooking heads, I cant touch the pin up ball, because its response to friction is tooo strong, I want something that can push through that a bit farther).
Thanks,
