From what I see and hear it's a pretty good ball.  I like to look at that ball as a Vapor Zone on steroids because the movement down lane seems similar to me.

Purchased ball on June 18th, 2008 from the Nationals booth in albq. Ball came 15-3, 3 1/4" pin and 3 7/8" TW. Ball is laid out 4 x 3 with a small weight hole dissecting the mid-plane and VAL. I threw this ball for a few games tonight after league play, the ball laid-out similarily to my Sure Strike and Original Black Pearl(Pin above ring, weight hole),it is very close in shape but with a more pronounced move at the breakpoint. I plan on throwing on fresh oil tomorrow afternoon(similar to the USBC Nationals shot) and if I get a chance I will update you on it's reaction on fresh back-ends.

June 20, 2008: Threw the ball friday afternoon on a Flat tournament shot(similar to USBC Nationals but with a little more bite), the BP-R had a little trouble making the turn, it was motoring but didn't have enought to make it up the hill. I put it away for a little while and threw obviously a more aggressive ball in the Terminator and it excelled on this pattern. After I burned a hole in the oil, switched back to the BPR and it by this time was able to make the necessary move to get back. For me, not really a ball for this condition, YMMV.

June 21, 2008: Threw the ball on our fresh house condition today(38', buffed to 45' on all newer synthetic lanes using Control oil) with OB outside the 5. This is where the BP-R excelled, it has a lot of snap on the back-end (more so than the Original)and very comparable in shot shape to the above mentioned Sure Strike. The BP-R for me is about a board more on the approach and very close in it's breakpoint, again compared to the SS.

Hope this helps for those of you looking at yet another fine piece of equipment from Lane Masters/Legends.

Sounds like a personal problem. See the Chaplain or the Rabbi.

Sorry Buddy,

I actually have another one I got today from the Legends Clinic I participated in back in march(they let my hold off for the BP-R when it was available), but I didn't have time to get this one drilled up prior to heading out to Vegas this coming wednesday morning to bowl at Southpoint(your house, right?).

I bowl thursday night at 9pm(no-tap dbls), friday at 11am(s & dbls) and 9pm(mixed dbls), saturday 9am and noon(team event) and 6:30pm(Masters).  If you get a chance swing on by.

Forgot the smiley face. sorry. You know me better than that by now. I'd love to try that ball just as much as you do. But first I've got to get the WCR, then the WCPP, the the TR, then the BPR.

It's all good i know that i probably need professional help and admit it, Only the wcpp has been a slight let down but it hooks less than I thought after watching a guy throw it for about 4 months before release.

The TR hooks plenty is better than some reviewed it, in fact I have one of the reviewed balls and did not change anything but add my thumb slug. It hits just as hard and is a stacked leverage layout something i myself would have never put on this ball. But the plug would be in the track and used it as I got it, works fine with my normal layout it would be about 3-4 boards in the back.

Pat answered your pm any thing else please feel free to contact me and let me know if you have any sweepers at night. I swing by after work and say Hi, buy you a drink and hangout for a few minutes before heading home.

Just noticed you posted your squad times will stop by, sorry half wake still

Kent Wagner drilled up the Black Pearl Reactive last week and went to the BTM tournament in Albuquerque and shot 300 in his fourth game.  I know that Kent has an abundance of 300's, but he now has the title of the only bowler in the history of the BTM to roll a 300.  congratulations Kent.

Watched Pat throw his BPR last night at his tournament, clean through the heads and  nice move through the back of the lane. Hit was very good and it never picked up the mid's too quick from watching him bowl.

Super cool guy it is nice to meet BR members like him, might stop over saturday night and watch him bowl his masters round.

The only bad part was finding out that i could have bowled his tournament, it would have been fun to give it go.

I've got to use my BLACK PEARL Reactive this past Sunday in a mixed doubles tourney.  I pulled it out for the second and third games after opening up with my XS POWER Solid Reactive with a 205. For a pearlized ball it has very heavy roll through the mid-lane.  This is a true medium medium-heavy condition ball.    Cleaner through the heads than the BLACK PEARL Particle with more backend!  No energy bleed at the pins what so ever.  Flush hits returned that nasty legends crack sound. High and low hits slapped the pins around like an improvised explosive device was set off.  241 the second game and 258 for the third.  No wonder Lane Masters discontinued other stuff to get this gem poured.
