Terminator
« on: November 25, 2007, 09:11:33 AM »
Just wondering what you guys thought of this ball? I read several of the reviews on it. My pro shop guy has one for sell for 100 bux used. He has 2 300's with it. I've thrown one before, but it was last year when I was 1st gettin started with bowling. All I remember is that it hooked alot and had great carry. I was really curious about the longevity of this ball and the surfaces at which this ball is most effective. And also Polished vs. Non Polished. Any replys would be greatly appreciated.

well i guess i'll be the first to say this is a awesome ball. its worth the money. i have thrown this ball in three differnt houses and they only thing it didnt like for me was wood lanes. ball can get really snappy on wood but then again every thing is. what i loved about this ball is yea is has great hooking and hitting power but it has a very consistant hook in heavy, medium, and light oil. didnt roll out on light oil. never stops once u start it up. probley best to keep alittle shine on it unless your house floods the lanes. i and everyone i have talked to love this ball.

I just got mine back from my brother! I thought it would help his game and I asked how he liked it and he said he really doesn't use it! I went to see him this past week to invite him over for Thanksgiving and he gave me a tour of his new house and when we were looking in the basement, he had some balls stacked against a wall and he said to look and see if I wanted any. I opened one box and it had a No Mercy I gave him and under it was the Terminator sitting on the basement floor. I told him that I'd take that one back! I removed the grips and plugged it for no grips and put a new thumb slug in and shot 738 last night in my senior league. I had shot 255 first game and had the front eight before the ten pin decided to be stubborn and ended with 269. The ten pin and eight pin was even more stubborn the last game for 214. Nobody else shot anything all night and they couldn't figure out how I was able to find the line. I have it drilled label leverage and it's very smooth throughout the whole lane with a nice move at the break point! Thanks, Bruce

excellent bowling, batbowler.

I think you should ask your brother why it didn't work for him. Is he of your caliber? Does he know "how to" bowl? (meaning, is he capable of 195 - 220 type of bowling)

I'm always curious why certain balls don't work for some people, Lanemasters or otherwise. Often it is because they either use it on the wrong condition or they can't or don't knoww how to adjust covers. When it is one of those reasons, I feel sorry for them that they did not "discover" a new ball.

He's been struggling lately and I've tried to help him out with equipment, but he hasn't learned to make adjustment to keep up with shot and he's a typical down and in player and when that's not there is has trouble. He moved here to Tennessee from Indiana, but he moved to far away so we don't get to bowl together much. I changed the layout on my Hornet to Rico and I'll let you know how it works out! See ya, Bruce

Unless you had polish or have higher ball speed, that will make the Hornet earlier and need slightly more head oil. I can't afford that but I can see how it might me more usable.

Had some dry last night and it was nice to use it again. I was debating with myself whether or not to bring it. Very glad I did.

I have my SS drilled this way and it rolls amazing and I wanted something similar for when the SS was to much. I'll let you know after I tried it tomorrow night. Thanks, Bruce
