Full Roller Drill on WCR?
« on: March 31, 2007, 11:39:21 AM »
I just bought a WCR a month ago from my Pro Shop guy.
I have a high ball track. Tracks within a inch of my
middle finger and thumb. I know the WCR is a flip ball,
but I wanted it drilled for a STRONG HARD arc, similar to
my Intense Inferno. The Intense he drilled for me has the
pin to the right of the ring finger with the cg in the palm.
(label leverage?)After he drilled my WCR,I noticed the pin was
to the LEFT of my middle finger with the cg in my palm. I never
had a ball drilled like that before and today ,looking at the Legends
drill sheet, discovered that it's a full roller drill. Now,don't get me wrong,
I love the reaction and how hard this ball hits.As a matter of fact, just upped
my personal high series to a 761 last week. My question, why is a full roller drill working for me with my high track?
The more I practice,the luckier I get.

That's not necesarily a full roller drill.  It's also a LH label drill, but for a RH bowler the pin is close to your track which means it's long with a bit of a flip on the backend.  Length with a little flare.

That ball has a STRONG reactive cover ... I'm figuring that he "drilled a strong ball weak"; I'm planning on getting another BP and YB and putting the pin above the middle finger on each and set the cg up for control. Maybe another Hornet too !!!
