Title: Lane Masters Ball Cleaner:
Post by: JPbowling151 on January 11, 2013, 07:27:31 PM
Anyone here used both Lane Masters High Performance ball cleaner and their I-tack ball cleaner? I was just looking on buddies and I can't decide which one I should get. Is the I-tack cleaner like Hook-it or Clean & Dull minus it not being in gel form? Those Adrenaline Wipes seem to go fast with me and I find it a bit inconvenient having to empty the pouch to grab a wipe and such.

Thanks!

I've used the Lane Masters ball cleaner and I can't really tell any difference between that and any other ball cleaner. There are other people who will swear by it, though. One thing I do want to mention is that it really, REALLY stinks.

While some people have found I-Tack the equivalent of their regular cleaner, I have not. I have found it equal to water based everyday cleaners. I find LM regular cleaner to be extremely strong. In fact, I compared it to pure acetone and it cleaned the ball better in my opinion.

Can't tell you how happy I am that Buddies is again carrying LM cleaners, though. I am going to order a quart right htis second!

Heard that the Lane Masters Cleaner will still be manufactured under the "LMB International" name.  They have all the rights to the Lane Masters' Lane Maintenance formulas.

Pat,

I just got my quart from Buddies. The liquid is now tinted blue and has nowhere near the intense alcoholic smell the original one had, but it does have lots of warnings, like "use gloves", "do not contact the skin", "do not put into aluminum containers". I have not tried it yet.

The bottle has "LMB Int'L" labels on it, plus their 888  toll-free number. It also has the warning, "Not for use during sanctioned competition.".

HI: Both ball cleaners are great. If you've lost reaction on the ball go for the I-Tack ball cleaner-it revives the friction on the ball. I am HUGO MEDINA, by the way. I work for LMB International. Thanks Charlest for you comment. LMB International has obtained the rights to all of Lane Masters lane maintenance formulas. A year ago we took over the Lane Masters manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA. Just so you know, I was the production manager for Lane Masters and I designed the last balls such as: HIGH STANDARD 2.0 AND  3.0, BUZZ PREMIUM EDITION etc. And the last balls Lane Masters make before they filed BK. i was also produce all lane maintenance products for the last five years before they went BK. Till now but under LMB International feel free to contact me if you have any question.

I found a bottle of polish and cleaner I didn't know I had earlier this year. It came with one of the L/M balls I bought some time ago. I didn't realize how well it cleaned compared to the other products I was using. I used the last of it a few weeks ago and now would like some more. Is the newer stuff the same product? I can put up the intense odor in lieu of its effectiveness.

Hugo, another question since you were the production manager for the HS2 and BPE can you tell me how to get to the OOB surface of each? I have both balls. The HS2 I can't seem to get it back to the OOB reaction and the BPE I have never altered it. I'm afraid to. It's been too a great ball with the OOB surface but sooner or later it will need to be done.

Are you going to produce the foaming cleaner for sale? I tried a couple of samples of it and it's the best product you guys have came out with yet. It would be a big seller.

It should be a big seller. But if you aren't going to release it to the general public just yet, can you get more of it to Larry French so I can buy it?  ;D ;D

Would you say the new "formula" works just as well as the old? Also, do you or should you use gloves while using this product or it doesn't matter and you can apply it like any other ball cleaner/polish by hand and a towel? Thanks

Near as I can tell, YES!!
Since I spray it on the ball or the rag, the rag protects my hands from it. I'd rather not get it on my hands, but that's true for EVERY cleaner: bowling or household or garden or car or industrial or hobby.

When I use Clean and Dull and Hook-It at home, I use nitrile gloves that I get from Costco (or BJs or Home Depot). I also use them when doing woodwork finishing and when
spraying or handling garden chemicals. Some of these are less toxic than others, but when I don't know how bad they are, there are far too many chemicals that are really bad. We're exposed to so many chemicals in our everyday life.

I'd like to remind everyone that use of the Lane Masters name or brand is against the law without California Bowling, LLC's permission. In further posts please refer to the cleaners as their actual name. Thank you.

Please explain what you mean Tony. I think you are blathering lawyer threats without being a lawyer.

First off, the name of a product can be used by Joe Street whenever Joe Street wants to.  What you may be wishing to refer to is the claim that "I am selling a product made by Lane Masters"

Second,  I don't see that use in this thread anywhere.

Please clear up my puny minded observational skills and quote the place where it might be.

Please explain what you mean Tony. I think you are blathering lawyer threats without being a lawyer.

I am not a lawyer.

Obviously you can't read the title of this thread. It clearly says Lane Masters Ball cleaner. Someone here has clearly commented they are using the same formula in reference to Lane Masters Ball cleaner therefore they are trying to sell their product referencing the Lane Masters name. Mr. Hoof I would keep your Hoof in your mouth.

Oh and Mr. Hoof why don't you identify yourself since you identified me in your very first post on this website. I was going to be a nice guy until this.

Tony,

On Buddies website, they are referencing this cleaner as
"LMB International" cleaner.

Is that the proper legal way to differentiate it from the Lane Masters and Legends brand names?
