Lane Masters, give me the full story, are they gone?
« on: March 20, 2012, 06:51:26 PM »
I've seen an article about Lane Masters filling chapter 7, then the whole Lord Field thing started-up, who owns who, did Lane Masters/Legends shut down, re-organize or sell-out to Lordfield, what is the total scoop!

Tony, thank you for explaining it to me, now when local bowler's come to me and ask, I will have the correct info to pass along. This subject is now closed as far as I'm concerned, I hope the next time there is a Lordfeild subject, it will be discussed in the Lordfeild Forum that's if the Staff on this site get around to dumping the DynoThane or Faball never used Forum's!

Tony,

The question on my mind is, Do the Lord Field balls hit like the LaneMasters ball do?

Don't be offended. I should slap myself on the hand as well for even being in this forum. Our balls store more energy with the covers and placement of the weight block. They also read the mids very well. Do they hit harder? Throw one and find out. I think you'll be surprised.

This is the last post I'll put in this forum I hope. Please contact me in the "other" category or by PM. Hopefully this site will find a way to create a Lord Field forum.

My take on LANE Masters/Legends.
I'm a huge user of their equipment for at least six-seven years.
I own at least one piece of all there equipment and have four or five NIB's.
I will never own another one because of their lack of ownership to their customers.
They were their own downfall because of one BIG must in business.
Communications....... I've e-mailed them for years trying to get equipment, and willing to pay top dollar, not one reply.
So Storm now has a new customer, and have purchased at least a dozen of their equipment in the last six weeks.
So Galen and the rest of that staff, good luck with the new owners, because I'm sure Korea is a much larger market then the USA.

I heard from a pro shop operator that Storm took over Lanemasters.  Not sure if this is true or not though as I haven't heard anything further on this.

Storm did not take over LaneMaster! They just purchased Master Industries which is bowling products and accessories! Wes Pye is in charge of that division of Storm
and still being made in the USA!(SO CAL!!)
