The Buzz impressions
« on: February 16, 2007, 12:05:11 AM »
My ball driller got my Buzz drilled yesterday and I was able to throw it for the first time last night.  I had it drilled with the pin just slightly above the ring finger and the cg stacked below that.  I used it on a second shift shot last and had a 227 and 228.  Same kind of hit as my Black pearl and my World Class. The kind of hit that make heads turn and wonder what the heck you are throwing. I do believe I am hooked on L/LM products now....

Yup ... great ball for a broken down pattern and to open the lanes up a bit.

Lazy, how is your Buzz drilled?

I thought my Hammers hit hard, until I whipped a LM/L ball into the pocket. WOW!

Lazy,
I would say that my BP gets down the lane a bit further then my Buzz.  The BP is also just a bit more skid flip then my Buzz.  Of course the BP can handle a bit more oil and it definately needs head oil.  I have only thrown the Buzz 2 games so far, but I think they are going to be a great 1, 2 punch.  Great predictable control, great pin crackin hit.  Love that sound.

Lazy, yup, I would agree that the buzz is a light to medium ball and the BP is a medium to heavy oil ball, at least for my style.

I think the BP looks nicer in person then in the pictures on the website. It looks dull on the website.  It is quite a bit shinier they that in person.  It still gets plenty of traction in the oil though.  It handles all but the heaviest and longest oil patterns for me...  I have the World class for the heavy stuff(got from Laybzz 74, thanks Robb).  The BP was my first L/LM and is what tempted me to try another.  Hope this helps

BP is a great ball ... and IMHO can be "tuned" for medium to med-heavy; the BUZZ is a low-flare reactive pearl and does just want that core/cover combo should do.

BTW ... here are my layouts (from my profile):

Black Pearl: 3 1/2" pin, 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 layout, pin above & right of the ring,
cg 3/8" above the midline, 1000 white pad, Factory Finish polish

The BUZZ: 3 3/8 oz TW, 2 3/4" pin, 4 x 4 1/4" layout, pin right/above the ring,
cg 9/16" above ML, OOB, no WH
