drock,
Charlest is correct about the numbers on the Big Bang and also about needing more oil! The Black Pearl has similar numbers as the TI in BTM with the BP Total Hook Rating at 52 is the same as the TI. The back end rating is 15.5 for the TI and 14.5 for the BP with the Length rating being 10 for the TI and 12 for the BP. I have both and I like the BP better, because I trust it more and I think it has as much if not more back end than the TI! The Big Bang and the No Mercy numbers are fairly close! The Total Hook Rating is 55 for the BB and 53 for the NM. Back End Rating are 16.0 for the BB and 17.5 for the NM. The Length Rating is 9 for the BB and 13 for the NM, which I find that for a particle ball the BB gets down the lane cleaner and easier than a lot of solid reactive and still has back end movement like a reactive! Don't get me wrong, I really like my NM and have one drilled weaker with the pin above the ring finger and the HART just right of the thumb. It's about 6-8 boards weaker than my NM drilled with the #1 drilling. The Big/R Bang has similar numbers to the Black Widow with a Hook Rating of 49 for the BRB and 50 for the BW. The Back End Rating for the BRB is 16.5 and 16.0 for the BW. The Length Rating for the BRB is 16 and 12.5 for the BW, this is the only area where there's a significant difference, but the BRB has a massive back end and it's a great looking ball! All of these balls are great choices and Bowling This Month is an awesome bowling magazine and once you get a complimentary magazine from Jim King you'll be hooked on his magazine! I hope this helps!
