As I had stated in a previous post, I contacted Legends and 've spoken to Galen and Johnny Jones (The "Prez") on the subject; here is the current info that I have received concerning their High Performance cleaner:
- As stated on the bottles, NOT approved for use during USBC sanctioned events; the reason for this is because it was never submitted to USBC for analysis and approval ... this DOESN'T mean that you can't use it or that it's illegal. The list of cleaners that can NEVER be used is listed on teh Bowl.com web site and their cleaner is NOT on that list.
- It contains an industrial strength isopropyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol IS listed by USBC at Bowl.com as Approved for use during USBC sanctioned events; that list does not specify strength, simply isopropyl.
- The President of Legends, Johnny Jones, does plan to submit their cleaner to USBC for approval at the end of the current bowling season (next spring) since the list of approved cleaners has grown tremendously since this cleaner was first developed by Legends.
- Finally, based upon the recommendations of Gold Coach and former Professional bowler, Palmer Falgren, and his "bottom line" determination that bowlers wanted a cleaner that "removed oil AND stubborn belt mark" without grit or abrasives, the "powers to be" at Legends settled upon this formula.
There has been a minor modification to the cleaner since it first came out, and that was to make it a bit less "offensive" odor-wise; it's STILL very pungent and strong and really needs to be used in a well-ventilated, as stated on the bottle.

Jim,
 An open area isn't necessarily the same as a well-ventilated area; however, I do agree that it can take your breathe away if you are not in an area with good air flow and adequate air changes.
 Regarding the color issue ... not sure what to tell you there, my friend; Galen saw your thread on it and the people at Legends don't know what to make of it either since they did clean a variety of random balls in an attempt to duplicate what has happened to you and you AI ... they haven't had the same results and are puzzled.
