Does Lane Masters make a ball for light oil? I need something to hook less than my Zone Classic, which is drilled for medium.

Yes, they have balls for light oil. There is the Straight Flush for drier lanes.
then where I bowl, some use the Satisfaction for light oil. I've heard of others on this forum using the Kong for light or medium-light oil. talk to Charlest or Laybzz74 as they are pretty much up on all of these type things. Way more so than I am.

Wait, so the Straight Flush has a pancake core? Doesn't that mean it won't have very good hit?

"light oil" means different things to different people. A resin coverstock with a pancake core is generally for almost dry condiitons, with the minimal amount of oil necessary to get any resin cover through the heads. Otherwise (too dry for resin) you need plastic/polyester balls. So if it's very short oil with enough oil to let a resin ball retain energy, even a pancake core can hit well.

If you're talking lighter oil than your Classic Zone can handle, I think Lm/L has several pearl resin balls that are in the same neighborhood as the CZ: Buzz, Absolute Power and the  SatisfaXion. I think you'd have to drill them very weak, like a 5" pin, above the bridge level to hook less than a CZ. Some other experts, should be able to chime in with more definitive replies.

Quick reply ... the Absolute Power and the SatisfaXion COULD work on light oil IF drilled properly for the bowler using it; the new Straight Flush is more for light/dry or "burnt" conditions ... the design was intended to get the ball through the heads and the midlanes cleanly AND to still have enough back end "pop" to carry.
