Galen just now E-mailed me thus responding to the questions about their 14# balls. I promised all of you that I would post his exact response word for word when he responded. This should put all past topics about this 14# ball thing to rest. Here is what he said.......
Hi Jim,
Thank you for your question. As with any 2 piece constructed ball the numbers will slightly change. If you were to compare 15# to 14# the rg is slightly higher and the diff slightly lower on the 14# ball but the C.O.R. remains as high as a 15# and 16# ball.
We feel the numbers are still very good in the 14# and by not sacrificing the quality of the cover we are able to maintain a very high C.O.R. which from the standpoint of pin carry is very important.
Are you considering dropping down in weight? If you are having trouble with the 15# I would strongly consider trying a 14# I think you will be pleasantly surprised on how well the ball performs.
If you decide to try a 14 give me a call and I will be more than happy to assist in choosing a ball. If you try one and you’re not happy, please feel free to call. This time of the year we are extremely busy so if you call and I am not in please leave your name and number in my voice mail.
Regards,
Galen Gentry
