LM Info
« on: June 17, 2007, 06:24:23 AM »
I was in Reno last this past week for nationals. Some information concerning LM I picked up from their booth:

1. They have a new ball in stock at the booth, I think the name is the Conquerer. I don't know about the construction, but was told it has a stronger particle coverstock than the Terminator, and as a result, is LM strongest ball to date. I was told it has a limited production of 500 balls, so I do not know if it will be readily available.

2. I asked if they had any 15 lb. Masterpiece's in stock. Answer-no, all are 16 lb. However, I was told that the Masterpiece is not being discontinued and will start being produced again later this summer.

3. They also have on hand some Hornets that are bright red color. Same ball as the green version, a few made for overseas distribution.

I was also in Reno for Nationals this past week.  I had the opportunity to talk with Kent Wagner on the LM pieces on display.  The Conquerer he said was originally for the Overseas market.  He mentioned that the ball had a 'new' coverstock on it.  Supposed to be a bit stronger than the Terminator.  Solid Particle, if I remember right.  Good looking ball too.  Med Blue with some Black specks in it.

Hope this helps.

That's very surprising, given that 99.99% of the overseas market(both Europe and especially Asia) see much, much, MUCH lighter oil than we in the US see. Most balls have high RGs and are pearls the skid/flip. So an early rolling particle (earlier than Lanemasters strongest oil ball), intended for the "overseas"market, is SHOCKING, to say the least.

So went to Anne Marie's pro shop and she got one of these in.  Got it drilled and it is a limited edition numbered to 500 with a stamp in the logo with the ball saying that.

The red Hornet is a solid reactive and is just a little stronger than the green Hornet, which is a pearl reactive. The Conqueror is the same weight block as the Terminator with the stronger cover. I hope this helps! Bruce

Anyone know where I can get one of these?  The Terminator is the "beast" of bowling balls, IMHO, and I'd love to get my hands on one of these!

Spoke to Galen Gentry this morning about the Conqueror ... limited edition ball, NOT FS to the general public UNLESS you get it those at pro shop that has a membership with Legends and is in their "pro shop program". (That's why AnneMarie has them ... she's on staff AND in that program.
