Lane Masters "The Buzz" Any News or Info on this ball?
« on: May 29, 2006, 04:49:12 AM »
Hey Ballreviews Family,

I am thinking about bowling a Regional Pro-Am, next week and they created a package with "The Buzz," in it. I've read up on the ball on Ann Marie Duggan's BowlingBallMall.com site, but I haven't seen any reviews on it yet.

Does anyone have this ball? If so, where would you place it within your arsenal and does it truly feel like a medium oil condition ball.

From what I know so far, it uses a Reactive Pearl Coverstock and has a Differential of .033

Thanks to all!

I had one, and I barely got to use it.  It didn't match up for me on any condition.  Did a lot of skating on the oil, and either over reacted or didn't react on lighter patterns.

I am pretty sure it was for when the lanes were broken down, because the first time I used it..it hooked like a big dog, but this was the 3rd game of my set.

Other than that I couldn't say too much as I didn't get to match up with it very well.

I had it drilled stacked leverage...and I'm left handed...stroker...mostly playing up the boards or with a little swing, medium revs, medium speed.

"Rama Lama Ding Dong",
This ball, with it's higher RG and low Diff, is more for "broken down" oil patterns when you want to "open the lane up". As with most balls, layout is critical and should match up with your style and stats ... I recommend speaking to Galen at Legends or maybe AnneMarie Duggan or her husband Pat about this ball. It's is a pearl reactive and reacts accordingly ... it WILL skate on oil and "jump" off the dry, but is a great ball, IMHO, when used at the right time.
 Hope that this helps ...

Ram,

Since only BowlingBallMall has it, there's not much on this ball yet.
Legends has said that it's for when the lanes breakdown and you need some recovery. So I'd hazard a guess that it's strictly for medium-light oil or even less oil.

Medium oil Legends balls: Absolute Power, Masterpiece, and Satisfaxion.

Straight from my profile:

The BUZZ: 3 oz TW, 2 5/8" pin 1" below ring, cg stacked below, polished.

I did this at Galen's recommendation because I'm a high speed, low revs stroker:
"I'm stroker, 235 rpms off my hand, 17 mph ball speed, axis rotation is 75-80 degrees, axis tilt is 15-20 degrees, and my PAP is 4 3/4 and 1/2 up" ... again, from my profile.
