Picked up my first Lane Masters
« on: August 15, 2009, 05:15:19 AM »
It's a Sure Strike. Drilled 4" pin to PAP, pin over fingers. At box finish, what should I expect? I am a stroker with around 275 RPM, 16 MPH ball speed. Good axis rotation.

On true medium (+/-) oil, you should see a good deal of overall hook, with a fairly sharp, hard-arcing backend, just short of a skid/snap reaction, but very controllable. Unless it a very bad wet/dry dry, you should be able to move further inside or further outside, depending on when there's less or more oil.

4" pin to PAP is fairly strong so it should flare enough for good hooking power.

I'm not 100% sure what the exact pin to PAP distance is. My PAP is 4 1/2 over, 3/8" up. The pin is over the ring finger (I'm right handed) and to the right about 1/2".

SO measure your PAP in the drilled ball then measure the distance of PAP to pin. It may be less then 4", still strong.
