My New L/LM CONQUERER w/Pictures
« on: June 29, 2007, 11:12:08 AM »
I got my Conquerer drilled up yesterday, the ball came 15lbs 3oz with a 3.0" pin and 3 oz of TW. This ball is amazingly strong, especially for my typical house layout(newer synthetic lanes, 38' of oil buffed out to 45' using CONTROL oil with OB outside of the 8 board). I plan on throwing it again tonight with the center running a bit more oil tonight(I'm having them double oil a pair of lanes). I will post another mini-review after I throw it some more.

It is number 317 of 500.

I talked to my pro shop guy yesterday about this ball and he said he had no idea on this ball. I am building a new arsenal for the upcoming season and I started with a T-Road Pearl and I said I need a heavy oil ball for right now till after august and I come back from a tournament. Well he told me they only made like 500 of these balls so I said grab one up for me if he can cause I think this would do the job very well.

Here's a link to some information on the ball, it's Anne Marie Duggan's Website:

Just an FYI -
While the Conqueror is not doubt a heavy oil ball, if you get one there is or will be a HUGE gap in oil handling ability between the Conqueror and the T-Road Pearl. You could easily fit at least one, and probably 2 balls in that gap, unless you're using the T-R pearl as a sanded surface.

Well, as you can tell there is no bevel on the thumb. It keeps me from trying to squeeze the ball and it definetly keeps people from trying my equipment.
And no, my thumb is not torn up from it, for me it promotes a free release.

Just got mine drilled yesterday at my pro shop that I go to. I got this ball drilled 4*4. and I will tell you this is a excellent ball for heavy oil. I bowled on a Long 44 foot patter sport shot and I noticed even if i had my speed up the ball did make a turn that I really liked. I then played a slow hand with reving it up a little and I couldn't believe the impact and everything that I got. This ball  hit like a rock I love it. That was at box finish. I wanted a little more up so I dulled it up to 500 and it did excellent but I think I want a little more so I'm going to dull it up to 1000 and see what it will do. I will let you know. For my first Legends Ball I rate it a 10.
