AP2?
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:01:34 PM »
What can you Lanemasters gurus tell me about the AP2?

What is it good for on todays conditions?

Thanks //  Lillen

A "classic" Lanemasters piece - and it has no relation to the original Absolute Power. The AP2 was/is a high load particle ball, intended for heavier oil. When I remember correctly it was at its time the ball with the highest traction (high particle load) and flare potential in the Lanemasters arsenal. Should still be a good option for oily/slick lanes, and rather arcing due to the particle coverstock. From what I have seen and heard about it, a good ball. Several players in my club used to have one (ranging from no rev senior bowlers to cranking youth players), and never heard anything negative. You just need some oil for the ball to get it to the back end "alive", or be speed-dominant.
