Blue Diamond Particle Pearl
« on: July 18, 2011, 12:30:31 AM »
I purchased a 14 pound Blue Diamond Particle Pearl ball about 6 weeks ago after consulting with Galen Gentry.

It is a replacement for my 15 pound World Class Particle Pearl ball. The WCPP is the best ball I have ever thrown. It has become necessary due to age and strength to lower my ball weight. The BDPP for me is every bit as good as the WCPP, it is consistent, forgiving, and hits Lane Masters hard. These are requirements  at my age and ball speed. Why hasn't anyone reviewed or commented on this ball?

Thanks Galen and Lane Masters!

Never heard of the "Blue Diamond".

I am aware of three versions of the Black Diamond: a solid particle, a solid reactive and a particle pearl.

Looking thru the list, I can only suppose that either 1. These balls are overseas releases, or 2. They will be coming down the pipe this year for domestic release.

The Gathering 2014 is near.  July 25-27 in Winston Salem, NC @ Creekside lanes.

Sorry I wasn't clear on it, the Blue Diamond PP is an overseas release of Black Diamond PP.

Mine is a slate black with a very slight blue hue, and the engraving on the Blue Diamond portion of the label is silver not gold. I had it drilled stacked with pin about ring finger so pretty strong. The pearl gets it down the lane pretty good for a low speed, low revs old guy.

I've purchased a 15 lb Blue Diamond P/pearl and I was told by my proshop that it had the same specs BlackD/P/P.

I have only bowled about 8 games in practice so still waiting to see what it will do on a tournament condition, as I feel the summer house pattern is a little bit light on oil to give a true picture of what this ball is capable of.

15mph / 300-320 rpm tweener
Got about 20games on this ball now & after the proshop freshening up the surface 2000ab. it still is doing very little, my Buzz Attack recovers stronger than this ball the only thing i can see is it rolls a bit earlier than the Buzz/A. I bought this ball for when my Virtual Energy was going just a little too long and breaking too late, i'll go back to my BW/sting at 1500W/dry at a tournament (39ft with plenty of oil) thru 18bd out to 10b BW/sting flush pocket but not carrying corners, tried the Blue diamond (stronger drilling) on the same shot hit the 3-6 pocket the V/Energy on the same hit the 3-6. My ball driller has a huge amount of experience and as he had recommended the ball thinking that it would slot right in. The ball at the moment wouldn't even find space in my practice kit. maybe for somebody else this ball will be the best thing since sliced bread, i'm very dissappointed, on a good note the Buzz Attack is a great all round medium ball ( I've bought 2)
